How It Works
What Is Invisalign and How Does It Work?
Invisalign is a set of clear plastic trays called aligners that fit over your teeth. You wear them all day and night, and you only take them out to eat, drink anything but water, or brush. Each aligner is shaped a tiny bit different from the last one, and over time those small changes push your teeth into the right spot.
3D Scan of Your Teeth
We use our iTero scanner to get a full 3D model of your smile. No goopy putty. The scan takes just a few minutes.
Your Custom Plan
Dr. Freeman maps out every move your teeth will make and shows you a preview of your new smile before you commit.
Wear Your Aligners
You get a new set every one or two weeks. Most people wear 20 to 40 aligners from start to finish, around 20 to 22 hours a day.
Quick Check Ins
You stop by every six to eight weeks so Dr. Freeman can check your progress. Visits are short and easy.
Show Off Your New Smile
When your aligners are done, we make custom retainers to lock in your new smile for life.

Patient Story
When Another Doctor Said It Was Impossible, Daria Found Hope Here
Not every Invisalign story starts on a happy note. Some patients come to us after a tough experience somewhere else. A different orthodontist told them their case was too hard. That treatment would take forever. That maybe they should give up on the smile they wanted.
That was Daria's story. She walked out of another office in tears, convinced it was hopeless. Then she came in to meet Dr. Freeman.
Two years later, Daria has the smile she was told she could never have. Her story is a reminder that a hard case is not a hopeless case. The right orthodontist, the right plan, and a willingness to work changes everything.

Dr. Chris Freeman
VOTED BEST ORTHODONTIST IN FORT LAUDERDALE
If you are going to wear aligners for a year or more, you should know who is in charge of your smile. Dr. Chris Freeman is one of the longest serving orthodontists in Fort Lauderdale. He has been straightening teeth in this community for over 20 years and has finished thousands of cases.
He graduated valedictorian from the University of Kentucky dental program. That means he was number one in his class. After dental school, he went to the University of Michigan for a three year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Michigan is one of the top ortho programs in the country.
Dr. Freeman is a Board Certified Orthodontist. Not every orthodontist is board certified. It is an extra step that proves a doctor has been tested on real cases by other top orthodontists. Only about one in three orthodontists in the U.S. is board certified.
He is also a published author, a past president of the Broward Dental Association, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association, and a sought after speaker on Invisalign, orthodontic technology, and kids orthodontics.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. These aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth and are switched out every two weeks to keep the progress moving.
You can expect some discomfort with any orthodontic treatment, but Invisalign is generally considered to be less painful than traditional braces. You can manage any temporary discomfort with over-the-counter pain relievers.
Treatment time varies depending on the individual case, but most patients at Freeman Orthodontics can expect to wear their aligners for 12-18 months. Dr. Freeman will provide you with a more specific timeline based on your unique needs.
You should wear your Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours daily, only removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.
It is recommended that you remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water. This will prevent staining and help ensure the longevity of your aligners.
Invisalign aligners should be cleaned regularly with a gentle toothbrush and lukewarm water. Avoid using hot water or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the aligners.
Normally, you'll visit Freeman Orthodontics every six to eight weeks during Invisalign treatment. That way, Dr. Freeman can monitor your progress and you can receive new sets of aligners.
Invisalign is a versatile treatment option, but it may not be the best solution for every case. Dr. Freeman will determine if Invisalign is right for you based on your specific needs and goals.
The cost of Invisalign varies depending on the complexity of the case and the length of treatment.
Our financial coordinator will let you know your specific cost estimate during your free consultation. At Freeman Orthodontics, we offer a range of flexible payment options to help make orthodontic treatment affordable for our patients.
